Black Lagoon in English so far
The English edition started with Vol. 1 on Aug 12, 2008 from Viz Media. In the 16.4 years since, 13 volumes have come out — one about every 1.4 years on average. The pace has slowed lately: recent volumes have come out about every 2.6 years. The longest wait was 4.8 years, between Vol. 10 and Vol. 11.
The Japanese edition has 14 volumes, all published before the English edition stopped, so the two editions may simply split the story into different volumes.
